Rotary Club of the Lowcountry is known as the little club that could. Although a small club we are very active in the community giving our time and funds we raise to local non-profit organizations. Because of our successful
fundraising in the community, we have been able to give over $30,000 in the 2022-2023 year to local non-profits and to the CART Fund to fight Alzheimer's Disease. We have also applied for and received Rotary District 7770 Grants for such things as the “Good Neighbor” Free Clinic, training materials for Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity, and for the Beaufort County 6th Graders Anti-Bully Program. We also cook burgers and hot dogs twice a year for the Hunting Island Beach Sweep volunteers. On an international level, we have given over $15,000 to the Rotary Foundation to promote peace and understanding, basic literacy, maternal health and disease prevention, and clean water and sanitation.

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.4 million members in 45,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
