As one of our past District Governors would say, we had "a little bit of Rotary and a whole lot of fun!"  About 1/3 of our club showed up on Saturday morning to cook Hamburgers and Hot Dogs for the many volunteers at the semi-annual Beach Sweep at Hunting Island State Park.  At last count we cooked 160 burgers and 120 hot dogs for the hungry crowd, who cleaned hundreds of pounds of litter from the beach, trails, roadsides, and marshes around the park.  From Boy Scout Troops to a large group of Wade Hampton High Schoolers, the volunteers worked all morning picking up litter before the start of the summer season.

Many thanks to Jeff, Alan, Dick & Gayle, Kerry & Paula, John & Rena, Frank, Bill E., Bill G., Charlotte, Elliot & Pam, Jerry, Chuck, and Alice for pitching in for this event.
