The Cause
Alzheimer’s is now the 6th leading cause of deaths in the US, with more than 5.8 million Americans now living with the disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the only one of the top 10 causes of death in the U.S. without any methods for preventing, curing, or slowing down the illness. All proceeds from this tournament will be donated to Rotary’s Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust (CART) Fund, as well as Alzheimer’s Family Services of Greater Beaufort.
The CART Fund (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) is a non-profit grassroots organization that provides “seed” money for cutting edge, high impact research grants to help find a treatment or cure for Alzheimer’s Disease.
Alzheimer's Family Services of Greater Beaufort is a nonprofit organization providing education, support and respite aid to caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's.
