Rotary Club of the Lowcountry is known as the little club that could. Although a small club we are very active in the community giving our time and funds we raise to local non-profit organizations. We gave over $30,000 in the 2011/2012 year to local non-profits. We have also applied for and received Rotary Simplified Grants for such things as the “Good Neighbor” Free Clinic and training materials for Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity as well as recently for the Beaufort County 6th Graders Anti-Bully Program materials. We also cook burgers and hot dogs twice a year for the Hunting Island Beach Sweep volunteers.

Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
